FORT DODGE, Iowa — A Fort Dodge man is recovering from a head injury after he was hit by an airborne motorcycle.

The injury happened at an off-road park in Fort Dodge at about 3 p.m. Sunday.

Mitchell Frank, 30, went out onto the track to pick up a younger rider who rode into the path of other vehicles. That’s when a motorcycle came over a jump and landed on Frank.

The peg of the cycle hit frank in the head.

Paramedics airlifted him to Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

They say his head injury is serious, but there is no update of his condition Monday morning.
