Suspect Charged, Arrested in Eldon Murder

OTTUMWA, Iowa — The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in the murder of an Eldon man.

Officials say 64-year-old Darrell Teeter was found dead at the Main Street Bait Shop, 529 W. Elm Street, on August 11th. An autopsy showed Teeter died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Monday, sheriff’s deputies took 24-year-old Ricky Edgar Conrad Davidson, of Eldon, into custody in the case. He is charged with first degree murder and first degree burglary. He is being held in the Wapello County Jail on a cash-only bond of $525,000.
