Cyclones lose Home Finale to West Virginia

AMES - Another Big 12 game, another loss for the Iowa State Cyclones.  This time to West Virginia 37-24 in the home finale.

The Cyclones looked great in the first half jumping out to a 21-7 lead, but like many other games this year the defense can't hold the lead.  West Virginia scored 20 unanswered points to lead 27-21 at the half.

ISU got within 3 points in the 3rd Quarter, and had a chance to take the lead in the 4th, but Sam Richardson was picked off in the endzone.  Mountaineers scored the final 10 points to win by 13.

Richardson finihsed the day with 275 yards passing and 2 TD's.  Aaron Wimberly had 75 yards rushing and 2 TD's.

The Cyclones fall to 2-9, still winless in the Big 12.  The season finale is next Saturday at TCU.
