DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Area Association of Realtors says central Iowa homes are spending less time on the market and selling for more money.
In November, homes spent 81 days on the market. That’s down four days from October’s numbers. The median sale price also went up $500 to $162,000.
In November, 755 contracts closed on new homes. That’s down from over 1,000 in October.
The association considers homes sales in Dallas, Polk, and Warren counties.
