DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are investigating an overnight stabbing.

The incident happened at a mobile home park on the city’s south side.

Just before midnight, police were called to 6901 SE 14th Street just east of South Ridge Mall.

One person was stabbed. Paramedics took the man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect ran from the home after the stabbing. Police searched around the mobile home park and talked with neighbors but didn’t find him at that time.

At about 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, police say the suspect came back to the home.

Officers took Dan Parr, 59, into custody without incident.

Officers were also called to that address Tuesday evening on a domestic call.
