DES MOINES - It took a while but Drake finally picked up win number 2 of the season, beating Jackson State 76-66 Monday night.

Freshman point guard Reed Timmer led the way with 19 points, Jacob Enevold had 17.

The Bulldogs improve to 2-8 on the season, up next 13th ranked Iowa State on Saturday.

"I told the guys there aren't many times in life you get a free swing at the number 13 team in the country.  We have nothing to lose," says Drake Head Coach Ray Giacoletti.

Drake plays ISU Saturday, 4:30 at Wells Fargo Arena as the first game of the Big 4 Classic.  Iowa and UNI follow at 6:30.
