WHO-HD undisputed #1 station Election night beating other stations combined

The November television ratings have just been released and WHO-HD is now the undisputed #1 newscast at 6 AM, 6 PM and 10 PM. Channel 13 News wins the 6AM hour with a huge 43.3 share ensuring that Today in Iowa continues as the undisputed #1 morning news leader. That means 43% of 18 to 49 year olds watching television in central Iowa between 6 & 7 AM are watching WHO-HD.

Channel 13 News at 10 is now the #1 newscast at 10pm with a 22.6 share.  WHO-HD gained nearly 5% at 10 while KCCI dropped nearly 31%.  At 6 PM, WHO-HD’s 5% gain from last year was enough to propel the station to #1 in the key early evening newscast race.  At 5 PM, the station is just 1 share point from #1.

And on Election Night (November 4, 2014), Channel 13 News was the clear winner…especially among slightly older adults 25-54…beating the other stations combined.

The four week measurement period was October 30 through November 26, 2014.  Ratings estimates are for Adults 18-49 Share.  A share is the percentage of all TV households with sets in use in the Des Moines/Ames DMA (Designated Market Area) tuned to a particular program.  All ratings comparisons are on a November 2013 to November 2014 basis.
