JACKSONVILLE, Fl - Just hours away now from the Taxslayer Bowl, and Hawkeye fans in Jacksonville are geared up for the game.

Iowa fans gathered in a crowded hotel ballroom for the Hawkeye Huddle Friday morning.  It was one last chance for the black and gold to congregate before today's matchup versus Tennessee at Everbank Field in Jacksonville.

Channel 13's Michael Admire caught up with Hawkeye Radio color-commentator, Ed Podolak at the Hawkeye pep rally.  Podolak told Admire one thing that he would like to see today is more explosion on offense.

"I think we're going to have to take some shots down the field in order to run the ball," Podolak says.  Defensively, he says the Hawks have what it takes to handle what the Volunteers' offense throws at them.

The Taxslayer Bowl kicks off at 2:20pm Iowa time, and can be seen on ESPN.

I hope the hawks get blown out and Ferentz gets fired. That is the only way i will start to watch the hawks play anymore. Ferentz tims is up and Iowa needs to move on and get with the times. Hire a coach that isnt stuck in the old days style of offense.
