Iowa State did not look sharp in its Big 12 opener, but the Cyclones found a way to win, 63-61. Cold shooting and shaky defense hampered the Cyclones for long stretches, but Dustin Hogue saved the day.

Hogue scored 17 points in the second half alone, and blocked a game winning shot attempt by Oklahoma State.  Matt Thomas and Georges Niang chipped in with 10 points each.

Iowa State moves to 11-2 overall, 1-0 in the Big 12.
