One Person Killed in Burlington Officer-Involved Shooting

BURLINGTON, Iowa — The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is looking into an officer-involved shooting in eastern Iowa.

It happened in Burlington around 10:25 a.m. Tuesday when police officers were called to a domestic dispute in the 100 block of South Garfield Avenue.

One person is dead and one officer is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Officials are not releasing the name of the person who was killed until family can be notified.

The name of the officer who was injured has not been released.
