MORGANTOWN, WV – The 17th ranked Cyclones picked up a huge road win Saturday night 74-72 against #14 West Virginia.  It’s the first road win over a top 15 team for Fred Hoiberg.

Abdel Nader had a big game off the bench, 19 points, 7 rebounds to lead the way.  Georges Niang added 16, Dustin Hogue 11.

The Cyclones led by as many as 8 points in the 2nd half, but the Mountaineers rallied behind 23 points from Jawan Staten.

18 turnovers almost cost Iowa State the game, but in the end clutch free throw shooting from Nader preserved the win.

Iowa State is now 12-2 overall, 2-0 in the Big 12.  The Cyclones are on the road again Wednesday at #21 Baylor.
