AMES, Iowa -- During a news conference Monday, ISU Head Coach Fred Hoiberg was asked who is the fastest player on his team.  The question by the Des Moines Register's Randy Peterson caused Hoiberg to ponder for just a moment.

"Boy, it would be hard to argue against Jameel (McKay), with the ball obviously I'd say Monte (Morris) is, probably not Georges Niang," said Hoiberg.

Asked the same question, Georges Niang responded in jest, "I would say I'm the fastest."

Jameel McKay said "I'm faster than Monte, end to end, with the ball Monte's probably got me," said McKay. "I'll probably lose the ball about half-court."

Monte Morris was also asked who is the fastest on the team, " I'd probably say  (Daniel) Edozie," said Morris.  "Edozie's like real, real fast, when he wants to run, he can run."   As to who is the fastest between McKay and Morris? "I think, Jameel's kind of fast, he looks fast cause he ain't got no ball in his hands," said Morris.

After a win again Kansas Saturday, the Cyclones play Kansas State at the Hilton Coliseum Tuesday at 6 p.m.
