DES MOINES, Iowa  — A nearly two hour stand-off with Des Moines police ended peacefully Thursday.

Police were called to a home in the 4800 block of Crestmoor Thursday night.

The man inside was reportedly suicidal and threatened to harm police if they came near the home.  The man eventually told police he was putting his weapon down and officers went inside and apprehended him.

We don’t know whether police found any weapons in the home and we don’t yet know the man’s identity.
