Four People Arrested in Connection with Clarke County Double Homicide

OSCEOLA, Iowa - Four people are facing charges following a double homicide in Clarke County over the weekend.

At 9:30 p.m. Saturday, the Osceola Police Department received a report of two missing men who disappeared on Friday evening.

Officials located the bodies of the two men in a vehicle at 1305 255th Street in rural Clarke County. Police said it appears that both victims died of gunshot wounds.

Richard Carson, 38, of Osceola, has been arrested and is facing two charges of first-degree murder. He is in the Clarke County jail.

Lynn Sutton, 47, Tracy Johnson, 43, and Christopher Elben 42, all of Osceola have been arrested and are facing charges of accessory after the fact in connection with the case.

The victims' names are not being released at this time.

Police said it appears to be an isolated incident and the public is not in danger.
