Crews Respond to Vehicle-Pedestrian Accident Outside School

school ax 2DES MOINES, Iowa – Traffic was backed up Tuesday morning after a child was hit by a vehicle outside a Des Moines school.

The student was hit outside Merrill Middle School on the 56th block of Grand Avenue at about 7:40 a.m.

Police said the contact was minimal and the child wasn’t taken to hospital.

Traffic returned to normal shortly after 8 a.m.
