LAWRENCE, Kansas — Kansas took a first half lead from Iowa State, and never gave it back. The 8th ranked Jayhawks turned back ISU by 13 at Allen Fieldhouse, 89 to 76.

The Cyclones led early but kept turning the ball over, and missing shots.  ISU’s outstanding point guard Monte Morris had an uncharacteristic four turnovers.

Georges Niang had 24 points to lead all scorers. Wayne Selden had 20 for Kansas.

The mostly easy KU win ended ISU’s two game winning streak against the perennial Big 12 champs. The Cyclones did fight to the end, but that’s not enough in the Phog.
