EVANSDALE, Iowa – Officials investigating the abduction and murder of Evansdale cousins Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins will be holding a press conference Tuesday morning.
The press conference comes after investigators from the Evansdale Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation traveled to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Virginia. A panel of experienced investigators and psychologists, including experts from the U.S. Marshal’s Office and the FBI, reviewed the case last week.
Lyric Cook, 10, and her cousin, Elizabeth Collins, 8, disappeared on July 13, 2012, while bicycling in Evansdale. The girls’ bodies were found in rural Bremer County in December 2012. No arrests have been made in the case.
There is a $150,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
