My husband was in Vietnam and had an addiction problem. If he was sleeping when I came home I would check to see if he was still breathing. I did that for a year while trying to get him help. Eventually I came home and found him dead from suicide. Now I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD. It doesn’t just affect the veteran but the family as well.
