Panthers Too Much, UNI Beats Drake

CEDAR FALLS - Drake is clearly improving, but Northern Iowa is ranked 14th in the country for a reason.

The Panthers jumped out to an early 10 point lead and never looked back beating the Bulldogs 69-53 at the McLeod Center.

Seth Tuttle led the way for UNI with 16 points, Matt Bohannon added 14, Paul Jesperson 12.

Reed Timmer was the only Drake player to score in double figures with 10.  10 players scored for the Dogs.

The Panthers shot 64% for the game and hit 11 threes which ties a season high.

UNI is now 22-2 overall, 11-1 in the MVC.  Drake falls to 7-17, 4-8 in the Valley.
