LOS ANGELES, California — Sam Smith stole the show at Sunday’s Grammy Awards.
The British soul singer won four awards including the two biggest honors, record of the year and song of the year for “Stay with Me”.
Smith also won Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album.
Album of the year and Best Rock Album honors went to Beck for “Morning Phase”.
Pharrell Williams took home the Grammy for Best Solo Pop Performance for “Happy”.
Beyonce won three Grammys, including best R&B performance for “Drunk in Love”.
Miranda Lambert won Country Album of the Year for “Platinum”.
A West Des Moines student was able to watch the Grammys in person.
Valley High School’s Jared Freiburg beat out other singers across the country for a spot on the Grammys jazz choir.
The eight-person group performed all week in Los Angeles and after the show Sunday night, performed at the after party.
