Farmers’ Market Returning in May

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Downtown Community Alliance has announced Des Moines’ Downtown Farmers’ Market will return on May 2.

The market, in its 40th season, will span nine city blocks in the Court Avenue district.

“We are honored to partner with UnityPoint Health – Des Moines as our presenting sponsor for the third year”, says Kelly Foss, Downtown Farmers’ Market Director, “Their active presence will continue to connect our Farmers’ Market community with resources to live a healthier life along with the healthy choice they’re already making in buying fresh local food at The Market.”

The Downtown Farmers’ Market will be open every Saturday from 7 a.m. – noon. Fall hours begin in October and The Market opens one hour later, from 8 a.m. – noon.
