CARROLL, Iowa — The Carroll County Democratic Party of Iowa is planning a presidential candidate forum for July 12th.  The Party has secured the Carroll football stadium for the event.  Thirty Democrats who could be possible candidates have been invited.

Tim Tracy chairs the event and said an invitation had been sent to  former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  Last week an invitation was hand delivered to Vice President Joe Biden’s staff when he was in Iowa.

According to Tracy a group from Carroll will be in Washington next week to hand deliver an invitation to U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren from Massachusetts.

“We’ll be talking about Democratic principles, and standing up for the middle class,” said Tracy.  “The Republicans have not done that.”   He also said they would hear from Democratic leaders on “what it is to be a Democrat,  and how we back working families in America.”
