NEVADA - The Nevada girls are on to the state basketball tournament for the first time in 47 years.

The last time the Cubs made it to state, it was 6-on-6.  1968 is the year the first Big Mac from McDonalds was sold.

It's been a long time.

Nevada fell 1 game short of state last year, but they broke through this season after beating Benton 60-50 in the regional final.

The Cubs play Red Oak Tuesday at 1:30 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
