ST. LOUIS, Missouri - The momentum swing came fast and fierce. Before Illinois State could respond to Northern Iowa's 25-4 run in the 2nd half, the Panthers were already cutting down the nets.
Illinois State jumped out to an 18 point lead taking advantage of Northern Iowa's poor shooting. The Panthers missed 14 shots in a row from the field in the first half.
"That one turned as fast as any one I've been apart of," says Panther Coach Ben Jacobson, "the thing we talked about at halftime was continue to play the way we practice."
UNI held the Red Birds to 24 points in the second half on its way to a 69-60 win in the MVC Tournament Championship. It's the fourth MVC tournament title in school history, but first since 2010.

Tuttle led the way with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Nate Buss also scored 15 points, Deon Mitchell added 10.
UNI is now 30-3 overall, which ties the most wins in school history. The Panthers now wait umtil selection Sunday to find out where they are heading for the NCAA tournament.
