DES MOINES, Iowa - With Easter only three weeks away, a substantially higher number of sheep and a wide range of weights on goats mark an uptick in animals at the Saturday auction in Colfax.

A good run of 589 head of sheep sold, with feeder lambs averaging $2.50 per pound. Fed lambs averaged $1.33 cents per pound.

Prices on the 122 head of goats ranged from $127.50 to $230 per head.
