To gear up for severe weather season, Meteorologist Megan Salois attended the 19th Annual Central Iowa NWA Severe Storms and Doppler Radar Conference. While there were great talks about severe weather events of 2014 from the Pilger, Nebraska tornadoes to the EF4 tornado that devastated Vilonia and Mayflower, Arkansas, Megan picked up on a few topics that we're of note and important for viewers in Central Iowa including topics like Twitter during severe weather events, the state of flooding in Iowa and the dangers of extreme heat in our state.
