WASHINGTON, D.C. -- President Obama poked fun at politicians, government officials, and himself at this year's White House Correspondents’ dinner.

The annual event welcomes journalists who cover the White House along with Washington politicians and media personalities.

It's a night known for its humor, and President Obama's monologue is always seen by many as the highlight of the night. He poked fun at politicians preparing for the 2016 elections, as well as at recent controversy surrounding the secret service.

The featured entertainer this year was "Saturday Night Live" cast member Cecily Strong.
