DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are looking for a suspect in the robbery of a convenience store Sunday night.

A man walked into the Kum and Go at 4200 Hubbell Avenue just before 11 p.m. and robbed the store at gunpoint with a black handgun, according to the Des Moines Police Department.

The white male suspect was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, and had a bandanna over his face. He looked to be in his early 20’s.

No one was hurt during the hold up.

The suspect took off north on Hubbell Avenue in a white or silver Oldsmobile, or Lincoln four-door vehicle. The cashier believes there may have been at least one other person involved in the robbery, perhaps driving the getaway car.

So far, we don’t know of any arrests in the case and officers are continuing their search.
