OSKALOOSA, Iowa – Police have begun searching for a man that has been charged with arson.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 23-year-old Danny Logan of Oskaloosa, who was charged with arson in the first degree, according to the Oskaloosa Police Department.

The charges stem from an investigation into a fire that occurred around 2 a.m. on May 11 in the 200 Block of 1st Avenue East in Oskaloosa.

Logan was treated at an Oskaloosa hospital for burns, before being transfered to Iowa City. He was allowed to check out of the hospital because police failed to issue an arrest warrant in time.

Police say he is likely with family members in the Des Moines or Oskaloosa area and possibly has bandages on his hands and right shoulder from burn injuries. Logan is 5-foot-9 and weighs about 200 pounds.

The Oskaloosa Police Department is requesting that anyone who may have information of Logan’s whereabouts or have any contact with him to contact their local law enforcement agencies.
