DES MOINES, Iowa - Pool season may still be a week or so away, but you can get your water fix this weekend at the Southridge Mall in Des Moines with the Cirque Italia water circus.

As the first official traveling water circus in the United States, Cirque Italia is a two-hour variety show of comedy and acrobatics -- all over and in a 35,000 gallon water tank. Don't expect to see elephants or clowns at this show but you can expect plenty of laughs and surprises.

"They give us so much freedom with our act. It's not really rigid, or like, we have to do it a specific way," said twins Megan and Morgan McKenyon, entertainers in the show. "Our act is a lot of improv -- it's different every night. We've done it over hundreds of times, but it's new every time."

The Cirque Italia will have several performances in the parking lot of Southridge Mall from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. Click here for ticket times.
