Piers Morgan interviews Jeb Bush

DES MOINES, Iowa — Former Florida governor Jeb Bush is skipping the widely-watched Iowa Straw Poll in favor of a conservative forum in Georgia on the same day.

Iowa GOP chairman Jeff Kaufmann tweeted his displeasure with Bush’s decision.

Bush is the first well-known Republican in the 2016 presidential field to officially opt out of the straw poll.

The event will be hosted in Boone this year on August 8th, two days after the first scheduled Republican primary debate in Cleveland, Ohio.
