More Wind Energy Investment Coming to Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa - Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds met with executives from HZ Windpower, a China-based wind turbine manufacturer, today to commemorate a partnership in bringing 14 new wind turbines to the state.

HZ Windpower has agreed to build 14, two megawatt turbines for "Community Wind" projects in Creston, Dyersville, Mason City and Perry. The total combined energy output of these turbines will be 28 megawatts.

Lt. Gov. Reynolds and HZ Windpower executives expressed in the meeting an interest to expand this project in the future.
