Suspect in Northeast Iowa Bank Robbery Still on the Loose

CALMAR, Iowa — A Postville man is being sought after authorities say he robbed a bank in Calmar Tuesday.

The robbery happened at the Security State Bank at 10:30 a.m. Witnesses say the suspect, later identified as 48-year-old Tyrone Wilson, robbed the bank and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Wilson is described as a black male, six-foot-two, and 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a blue and yellow hooded sweatshirt. He may be driving a black 1998 Chevy 3500 truck with a license plate of CWM 696.

Robbery charges have been filed against Wilson. If you have any information on his location you’re asked to contact the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office at 563-382-4268.
