DES MOINES - Day 1 of the Principal Charity classic produced plenty of low scores.

Jose Coceres and Billy Andrade lead after round 1 at 6-under.  25 players are within 3 shots of the lead.  Defending champ Tom Pernice Jr. picked up right where he left off last year shooting a 5-under 67.

Mark Calcavecchia is also at 5-under.  Calc grabbed a lot of attention on Friday when he wore bacon covered pants and a bacon belt.  Calcavecchia is friends with Bacon Fest President Brooks Reynolds.

2nd round tees off at 9am on Saturday.
