State Soccer Semifinals; Centennial Cruises, Johnston Upset

DES MOINES - The 2-seed Centennial Jaguars had no trouble with Sioux City West on Friday in the semifinals, Jags crushed the Wolverines 5-0.  Nermin Kremic netted a hat trick, 3 goals.

The Jags advance to Saturday's 3A title game where they'll face the 5-seed Linn-Mar.  The Lions upset top seed and undefeated Johnston 2-1.  This is Johnston's first loss of the season.

In class 2A Cedar Rapids Xavier beat Norwalk 3-2 in overtime.

Class 1A, Gilbert's dream season continues.  The Tigers beat Counci; Bluffs St. Albert 2-0.

All 3 championship games can be seen on WHO 13.3 on Saturday, thats Mediacom channel 114.  Class 1A starts at Noon, 2A 2:30, and 3A 5:00.
