Gilbert and Centennial Lose in State Soccer Championships

DES MOINES - It was a rough day for Central Iowa at the boys state soccer championships.

Gilbert lost the 1A final 1-0 to Dyersville Beckman in double overtime. In class 3A, the 2-seed Centennial Jaguars were upset by 5th seeded Linn-Mar 2-0.  It's the Lions first title in school history.

Cedar Rapids Xavier won Class 2A, 1-0 over Central Clinton.

All titles belong to Eastern Iowa.
