Teen Girl Abducted from Henry County

HENRY COUNTY, Iowa — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says a southeast Iowa teen has been abducted.

Orricials say 16-year-old Karyn Mehaffy was abducted Friday evening by three suspects in a dark blue SUV. The make and model of the vehicle is unknown.

Karyn was last seen in the 300 block of South Olive Street in Winfield.

Karyn is a white female, 5 feet three inches tall, and heavyset. She has dyed blond hair with blue/green bangs and blue eyes.

The sheriff’s office says they tried to get an Amber Alert issued for Mehaffy but the situation did not meet the requirements for an alert.
