7-Year-Old Recovering From Being Hit By Stray Bullet

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – A 7-year-old boy is recovering after being hit by a stray bullet on Saturday, according to the Des Moines Register.

The boy was hit by the bullet while watching fireworks in Council Bluffs.

According to Council Bluffs Police, the boy’s grandparents said the bullet wound in his shoulder was about ¼ inch deep. Authorities also said the bullet was likely fired in another location and hit the 7-year-old’s shoulder as it fell from the air.

The boy was treated at an area hospital and released, according to the Register.
