CHICAGO, Illinois -- Former Iowa State head basketball coach Fred Hoiberg took part in throwing out the first pitch at the Chicago White Sox game Monday.

The Chicago Bulls coach was joined by the team's 2015 first round draft pick, Bobby Portis.

For those wondering why Hoiberg wouldn't be doing this at a Chicago Cubs game, Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf owns the White Sox as well.

Several pictures from Hoiberg's night at U.S. Cellular Field were posted on social media by the Bulls and White Sox.
