Des Moines Police Remove Suspicious Device from East Side Neighborhood

DES MOINES, Iowa – Des Moines Police have removed a suspicious device from an east side neighborhood.

Authorities received a call from someone living in the 2800 block of East 38th Street at approximately 10:30 a.m. Monday. The caller reported a strange item located in the street, according to the Des Moines Police Department.

Investigators utilized a robot to move the device into a trailer and remove it from the neighborhood area. The suspicious device was taken to a remote location to disassemble.
