NEWTON - What a homecoming for Iowa native Mason Mitchell.  Mitchell won the Menards 150 ARCA Race Saturday night at the Iowa Speedway in dramatic fashion.

On the final lap, off a green white start Mitchell grabbed the lead from Kyle Weatherman and held on for his 2nd ARCA win of his career, first in Iowa.

The 21 year old Mitchell grew up in West Des Moines and graduated from Valley High School.

Mason is only racing part time on the ARCA circuit this year as he also focuses on ownership of a team.

The ARCA circuit is a stock car series for up and coming drivers looking to make it on a bigger circuit someday.
