DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are trying to investigate a shooting but officials say the victim isn’t cooperating.

Des Moines officers report that they received a call around 3:00 Friday morning from a woman living in Georgia. She told them that her 20-year-old son, Kieon Aaron, had been shot and that she didn’t know where he was.

Officials were unable to find anyone at first but the victim checked into the hospital about an hour later. Police interviewed Aaron’s half-sister at the hospital and she told them they found him downtown, but couldn’t remember where. He was bleeding badly from the back of the head and was with three white males she described as skateboarders.

Aaron said he was shot while in front of the Court Center Building, but claimed he did not know who shot him or why.

Police said he was uncooperative and refused to give them any other details. His condition is unknown.
