State Baseball: SE Polk Tops Waukee, Rams Will Try to Defend 4A Title

DES MOINES - The state baseball championship games are set and the SE Polk Rams will get a chance to defend their 4A title.

The Rams beat top seed Waukee Friday in the semifinals 14-10.  SEP jumped out to an 8-0 lead after 2 innings.  The Warriors rallied for 5 runs in the 3rd, but that's as close as they got.

Austin Martin and Sam Henry each had 3 hits and 2 RBI's for SEP.

The Rams will face Iowa City West Saturday night at 7:30 with a chance to defend their 4A title.  SE Polk beat Iowa City West last season in the championship 2-0.
