DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa State Fair has announced a replacement for Meghan Trainor at this year’s Iowa State Fair.

After Meghan Trainor announced that she was cancelling her Aug. 22 performance at the Iowa State Fair due to vocal cord issues, officials say Charlie Puth with special guest Life of Dillon will perform in her place.

The new main act was originally planned to open for Trainor.

The show will be free and located in the Iowa State Fair Grandstand on Aug. 22. The concert will begin at 8 p.m., and gates are scheduled to open at 7 p.m. for the general seating concert.
