Des Moines Police Respond to Shots Fired

DES MOINES, Iowa — Police responded to a report of a man firing a handgun in the 1500 block of East 17th Street Thursday afternoon.

Officers located a discarded jacket that they believe may belong to the suspect.  They said that they will attempt to use a K-9 to track from that jacket in an attempt to locate the suspect.

Police found three shell-casings at the scene.

The investigating is ongoing.
