MARION COUNTY, Iowa – A car crash near Pella on Tuesday afternoon sent two people to the hospital.
The accident occurred on the corner of North Highway T15 and Idaho Road in Marion County.
Police believe a car with two occupants ran through a stop sign and was hit by an SUV. The first car then flipped on to its top and came to rest by a power pole.
Rescue crews on the scene had to use the Jaws of Life to cut the pair out of the vehicle. The two occupants suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries, according to police.
