WAUKEE, Iowa --Some metro parents say they're being left in the dark when it comes to their kids' daycare.

Lutheran Church of Hope is buying the Point of Grace Church in Waukee, home of the Point of Grace Children's Academy.

A Channel 13 viewer's child attends the care. Michael Foster posted to the Channel 13 Facebook page:

"Now all of a sudden we get an email on a Sunday night like surprise! All of the admin people will be leaving, point of grace will be no more, and your child's day care will now be called something new!!!"

Foster says Point of Grace has yet to notify parents about what's happening to the day care.

A daycare employee tells Channel 13 it has not sent out official notices to parents and does not know when it plans to do so. She says the daycare began transitioning in June when the future of the church was uncertain. The employee also says the daycare is now called the Children's Academy but will remain in the same building.
