AMES, Iowa — The Iowa Caucuses are still five months away but starting Tuesday you can get a how-to lesson.

Iowa State University is offering a free online course. The first lesson is “History of the Caucuses.” Other sections include “Digging Into the Caucuses”, “Role of the Media”, and “Future of the Caucuses.”

The class is being taught by ISU political science professor Dr. Steffen W. Schmidt. The first section runs Sept. 1st through Sept. 29th. Three more options are being offered as well:

  • Oct 13 – Nov 10
  • Nov 17 – Dec 15
  • Jan 1, 2016 – Feb 2, 2016
