The disciplinary hearing for the Missouri State Trooper who raised questions about the investigation into the drowning of Brandon Ellingson has been cancelled.

Ellingson, who was arrested last year for alleged drunk boating, fell off a State Patrol boat and drowned while handcuffed.

The hearing was specifically to determine if Randy Henry was demoted as a way to get back at him for blowing the whistle regarding alleged missteps by the State Patrol.

Henry was the first to bring about questions concerning the life jacket placed on Ellingson at the time and the State Patrol’s training of troopers on the water.

Monday’s hearing was cancelled due to new developments in the case last week. It has not been rescheduled yet.
