DES MOINES, Iowa — Officials say fall’s typical beauty in Iowa is in jeopardy this year.
Recent wet weather is expected to dim some of Iowa’s fall colors.
Leaves are falling already in north central and southwest Iowa. That’s thanks to a fungal disease that pops up in rainy years. Another leaf disease is impacting northeastern Iowa.
There is some good news for those in central Iowa, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources says things are looking good in the region.
This week we’ll see changes in the red maples.
